Review of Jill Norgren’s New Book

The Journal of Supreme Court History has a book review of Jill Norgren’s new biography of Belva Lockwood.  [“The Judicial Bookshelf,” by D. Grier Stephenson, 33 Journal of Supreme Court History 200, 215 (2008)]

The review states:

“Thoroughly researched and carefully documented, Norgren’s portrayal reads like a fast-paced novel and suggests the truth of a variation on ancient wisdom: Truth frequently is more interesting than fiction.  Norgren successfully navigates and illuminates the life of this accomplised individual  even though most of Lockwood’s personal papers were destroyed after her death.”
